As the Center Head at DHL Global Forwarding Freight (DGFF) Global Service Center (GSC) - Manila, you will be reporting to the Managing Director of GSC. You will lead, develop and control the global business and operations of the Shared Service Center MNL to achieve short term and long term financial and operating objective (SLA income, productivity, profitability, value contribution, market share) in line with DGFF and DPDHL strategy. You will also lead and develop the service offering and delivery of the assigned Service Lines globally across all Shared Service Center to achieve short term and long term objective (service maturity, value contribution, market share) in line with DGFF and DPDHL product strategy.
IN THIS JOB THE MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES ARE THE FOLLOWING:
General Management
· Defines the Shared Service Center strategy considering vertical and/or horizontal guidelines and objectives.
· Ensures effective management of business and operations for the line of business at the global level.
· Ensures effective management and takes responsibility for the business P&L, cost and revenue management (i.e. management of charges); controls/supervises consolidated budget.
· Ensures efficient asset utilization.
· Supervises business development, BPO and operations activities and is responsible for center accounting, billing, purchasing, IT, finance, HR functions.
· Drives the exploration and exploitation of growth opportunities; takes accountability for farming activities and responsibility for hunting activities.
· Decides difficult cases and makes sure that decisions are carried out properly, for example concerning product and market strategy, business development, investments etc.
· Ensures service quality and compliant operation in accordance to defined SLA.
· Ensures proper means of business continuity management and leads business continuity plans in case of crisis.
Global Service Line Management
· Defines the Global Service Line Strategy (i.e. across all center) considering vertical and/or horizontal guidelines and objectives.
· Maximize value contribution of Global Service Line to DGFF.
· Initiate and drive service line specific projects in accordance to DGFF product strategy (i.e. CW1 roll-out).
· Ensure service line specific knowledge capturing and development.
· Enable effective and efficient resource utilization across all service delivery locations globally
· Maximize market share within DGFF product.
Organizational process/ method/ service advancement
· Analyzes complex multi-dimensional issues extensively and significantly improves, changes or adapts existing methods and techniques.
· Delivers innovation that directly influences the way the GSCs operates, services the business partner, delivers productivity and manages people.
· Exploits any process automation opportunities.
Business Partners & Stakeholders
· Reaches agreement with external parties to accept complete proposals and programs where there is little interests in cooperating or participating.
· Negotiates critical agreements / contracts and has the mandate / authority to sign them in accordance to the LOA, changing T&Cs significantly.
Qualifications & Key Requirements:
The specific skills, knowledge and abilities required of the job /role are the following:
· Comprehensive managerial capabilities and logistics/service provider know-how gained in long-term front-field preferentially based on a university degree.
· Minimum 15 years of experience in different senior management functions in a logistics and/or shared services provider.
· Manages and leads teams through broad and substantive management experience across several functions or businesses.
