Job Summary:
A Category Manager leads a team of Brand Managers for Intrepid. In-charge of coordinating with high profile client counterparts and determine ways to streamline and improve the brand management process. Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships, a Cat Man oversees client account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximize profit.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Responsible for driving the commercial and operational performance of brands within portfolio to achieve full potential on ecommerce platforms
Managing a team of Brand Managers, ensuring proper assessment of strengths and weaknesses, supporting on personal development and ensuring the team is meeting target KPIs accordingly
Provide on-the-ground support for Brand Managers as they liaise between the client and Intrepid, which may include but is not limited to the following:
overseeing each client's performance reports and co-managing KPIs
meeting with their client counterpart to discuss, align & agree on higher level commitments for both short-term & long-term goals
handle client escalations for any subject matter
Develop joint business plans with brands to grow platform business - along with building execution plans
Deliver daily reports on KAM level, client level and (top revenue) product level and make all number visible to upper management's reference at any given time
Develop and implement new commercial initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key partners interest and ensure relationship is sustained
Qualifications & Skills:
carries a minimum of 3-year experience in a management role and have supervised a team
eCommerce background from a selling platform is a plus
strong decision-making skills
excellent negotiation skills
strong analytical skills in reporting & interpreting numbers
motivated and results-driven to lead assigned Brand Managers
availability (timely communication is essential even on evenings & weekends and/or holidays)
background from any FMCG brand/company is preferred
