Job Description
Trade Marketing Strategy Development: Develop comprehensive trade marketing strategies aligned with overall marketing and business objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and brand marketing, to ensure consistency and synergy in our trade marketing efforts.
Channel-Specific Campaigns: Create, execute, and monitor targeted marketing campaigns tailored to different distribution channels (e.g., retail, e-commerce, distributors). These campaigns should increase brand visibility, drive demand, and support sales goals.
Merchandising and Point of Sale (POS) Materials: Lead the development and deployment of impactful in-store merchandising and POS materials that enhance brand presence and drive consumer engagement. This includes displays, signage, and other promotional materials.
Route-to-Market Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive route-to-market strategies that align with overall sales and business objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance, to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to market expansion.
Distribution Channel Optimization: Evaluate and optimize the effectiveness of existing distribution channels, making recommendations for enhancements or adjustments as needed. Explore new channel partnerships to expand market reach.
Trade Promotions and Incentives: Design and implement trade promotions, incentives, and co-marketing initiatives to motivate channel partners, distributors, and retailers to achieve sales targets. Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of these programs.
Market Analysis and Insights: Conduct regular market research and analysis to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviors. Translate insights into actionable strategies to capitalize on market opportunities.
Sales Forecasting and Planning: Work closely with sales teams to forecast demand, set sales targets, and develop distribution plans. Collaborate with supply chain to ensure adequate inventory levels and efficient product flow.
Performance Tracking and Reporting: Develop KPIs and metrics to measure the success of trade marketing initiatives. Regularly analyze and report on the performance of campaigns, promotions, and activities, making data-driven recommendations for optimization.
The Successful Applicant
At least 10 years of proven experience in trade marketing or customer development marketing
Must have experience in handling modern trade accounts
Extremely driven, proactive, and knows how to influence and drive distributors
Food and beverage background is an advantage
Can thrive and is comfortable in working in a lean team
Strong analytical mindset and data driven approach
