About the job
Reporting to the Check-Out Manager, this TEAM LEADER role is responsible for providing daily management and leadership to the Cash office, managing and controlling the cash office functions, ensuring daily/ weekly and monthly routines are followed and securing the financial reconciliation work is done in accordance with the rules set up by Service Office.
Your assignment
You supervise the following -with priority:
-Daily reconciliation of store takings & reporting
- Forex reconciliation and monitoring of exchange rates
-Cheques collection and control
-Tally of safe fund daily
-Credit Card reconciliation
-Gift Vouchers redemption and reconciliation
-Banking of the various tender types
You are in charge of store Petty Cash management;
You manage and control the cash office functions and ensure daily/ weekly and monthly routines are followed;
You provide excellent customer service to internal and external suppliers;
You develop the admin executives to be able to understand and manage the role in the absence of the Checkout Manager;
You lead and train the team to be able to carry out all cash office and admin/audit functions.
Qualifications
Your profile
You have a strong interest in home furnishings;
You are an Accounting Graduate with experience in cash handling;
You must have a minimum of 3-5 years retail cash handling experience, finance & treasury experience preferably in a retail environment
You are cost conscious and have knowledge on budget management;
You are familiar in doing check-out counter audits and always act with integrity;
You are a good problem-solver with strong analytical and numerical skills;
You have Intermediate-Advanced know-how of MS Office & Excel;
You are a quick learner who can adapt to changing demands easily.
Additional Information
This role requires flexibility in work hours depending on store operational requirements. Working on public holidays and weekends.
