INTERNET & HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
MUST have 2 monitors.
MUST have backup internet. (prepaid will do)
8 GB of system memory.
i3 processor or higher.
Fiber or highspeed internet of at least 20MBPs. (both upload & download)
Windows 10 with Google Chrome web browser installed.
USB headset.
Malware and virus-free/protected computer.
Skype account.
Valid government-issued ID/driver's license.
Job Description:
Follows operating and organizational policies
Completes payment entry in a timely and accurate manner including:
Posts payments to practice management system (checks and credit card payments within 24 to 48 hours)
Posts all zero EOBs from ERN and EOB paper remittances
Verifies and posts all EFT deposits
Posts patient checks using Payment On Account tool
Process patients and insurance credit card payments
Properly communicates and documents payment denials in the practice management system and assign to the appropriate billing department in a timely manner.
Identifies any payments not being paid at the allowed/contracted amount and communicates this to the Director of AR and Billing.
Creates and posts invoices for all the payments not uploaded in the system
Adds insurances to orders, invoices, posting and transferring balances accordingly- Performs additional billing charges if needed- Researches and resolves unidentified or unapplied cash
Reconciliation of patients payment deposits
Processes necessary adjustments and refunds
Occasional contact with Insurances companies to resolve payments not received or portal access.
Downloads all payments and zero EOBs from portal that are not received through BT system or by paper
Identifies and resolve issues in a timely manner. -
Ability to key data quickly and accurately
Responsible for notifying Director of any issues related to payment posting, adjustments or denials
Manipulates incoming emails, resolves and processes any and all tasks assigned- Manipulates and creates folders and organizes
Maintains professional knowledge regarding fee schedule, insurance carriers.
COVID-19 considerations:
All Employees will be working from Home Permanently. This is a work from home opportunity. "Work from home" means to work in the home in which you reside aka permanent residence.
