QUALIFICATIONS
Female
Graduate of BS Nursing or BS Medical Technology
Must be a Registered Nurse or Licensed Medical Technologist
Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
Customer service-oriented
Willing to render overtime and can work on shifting schedules
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Explains testing procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxiety
Performs tests to record patient’s cardiac activity using specialized electronic test equipment and laboratory instruments
Assists cardiovascular physicians in the performance of Treadmill Stress Test and Transesophageal Echocardiography
Hooks up patient for 24-Hour Holter Monitoring and prepares and prints recording for official reading of physicians
Hooks up cardiac monitoring as well as ambulatory BP monitoring
Brings defibrillator, ECG and cardiac monitor to the ward/emergency room in response to a mayday call
Prepares reports of diagnostic procedures for interpretation by cardiologists
Clarifies contents of reports from physicians
Transcribes dictations from readers/cardiologists
Prepares daily summary of income
Updates card files of patients and test results
Files copies of different procedures according to their respective case numbers
Assists in maintenance of the different machines in custody
Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of machines and other facilities of the entire unit for availability and usage
Performs other duties as may be required from time to time
