Position Reports to: Capex and Projects Manager
What is this position about?
The Capex & Technical Projects Engineer erforms professional field and office engineering work related to the planning, design, construction and maintenance of capital improvement projects, traffic safety and daily departmental operations, including the preparation of basic designs, specifications, plans, estimations and reports for the development and modification of the main project; manages less complex engineering projects.
What will you do?
Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects.
Interacting with stakeholders, interpreting their needs and requirements, and representing them in the field. Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance and reporting on the project's status.
Cooperating and communicating with the Project Manager and other project participants and collaborating with cross functional teams to create more efficient project methods and to maintain the project's profitability. Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions.
Developing specifications for the project's needed equipment. Creating frameworks to measure the project's metrics and data collection. Establishing field test methods and methods for monitoring the quality of those tests
Ensuring the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications. Prepares spreadsheet reports and project look-ahead for monitoring project status and performance.
Perform any other tasks given by the supervisor.
Compliance with EHS procedures, labour law, corporate guidance, internal regulations and work performance instructions.
Understand health and safety aspects of their work and learn about potential hazards, know and maintain required control measures in order to keep their workplace healthy and safe.
Develop their competency to do the work healthy and safely, participate in health and safety training and receive appropriate health and safety knowledge and required qualifications, observe and follow safety signs, posters, warning signals, and written directions and instructions.
Know Legal and JTI health and safety requirements associated with the work hazards and comply with all applicable health and safety rules and procedures.
Always demonstrate safe behavior, report incidents and near misses to their supervisor, report identified unsafe conditions and behaviors to their supervisor and eliminate them within their authority and ability to do so.
Who are we looking for?
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical and Process Engineering or any related engineering course
Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position or in project management
Good project management skills and structured when working on projects.
Good problem solving skills for technical problems.
Good knowledge on local and global standards.
SAP; Enterprise Asset Management, AutoCAD
Good verbal and written English communication skills
Good presentation skills
