About the Education Pathways to Peace in Mindanao (Pathways) Program
Education Pathways to Peace in Mindanao (Pathways) is supported by the Australian Government in partnership with the Government of the Philippines to provide quality inclusive Kindergarten to Grade 3 education for all children across the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
The program focuses on early years education as the foundation for life-long learning and development. By engaging and collaborating with a wide range of education stakeholders, promoting peace in education reform, and addressing inequity and disparity in education delivery, the program also contributes to peacebuilding in the region.
Delivered through the Bangsamoro Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE), activities are directed towards strengthening education policies and institutions, ensuring accessible and inclusive education for all children, providing an integrated education system and curriculum, and improving teacher quality and development.
Pathways is implemented by Palladium in consortium with the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) and Orient Integrated Development Consultants Inc (OIDCI).
The program's base of operations is in Cotabato City and covers all five provinces of BARMM.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
About the positions
Pathways is seeking applications from individuals interested in supporting basic education for all children in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). Until the end of June 2021, Pathways needs specific individuals with the below expertise to provide short-term support to a range of program areas.
Position Overview of the job
Documenters Individuals to document proceedings, including speeches and discussions during a program activity. He/she may also be requested to create a technical report for the activity.
Translators Individuals to provide translation and transcription services for an activity (must be expert on BARMM languages)
Videographer and Photographer Individuals to take video footage and high-quality photos of program events and activities, and of beneficiaries in field locations.
Planning Specialist Facilitate discussion among planning officers on the technical design and processes for MBHTE education planning system. The specialist should be able to integrate area-based plans (LGU and Schools) with the sectoral priorities of the MBHTE.
Technology Infrastructure Specialist Will provide technical assistance to MBHTE in the development of its Information Systems Strategic Plan. The Specialist will provide expert advice and guidance in the design of MBHTE's Enterprise Architecture, including the strategies for its development and implementation.
