Role:
As a Technical CAD Detailer for IGE, you will work as a part of our Design & Engineering team to detail, and engineer custom and system-based exhibits, interiors, and displays. You will be responsible for sourcing and outlining the required materials and hardware and maintaining technical drawing standards.
Responsibilities:
- Create fabrication drawings for each assigned project.
- Develop CNC files
- Create setup drawings for each assigned project.
- Source and outline required materials and hardware to complete each project.
- Review structural and architectural drawings and specifications for conflicts/questions.
- Collaborate with the designers to help engineer reliable and cost-effective solutions.
- Work with Project Management
- Checking contract documents, specifications, etc. to ensure drawings are accurate.
- Review and revise drawings based on engineering calculations, designer's notes and instruction
- Create CNC-ready tool paths for producing custom components.
- Assist fabricators with questions, as necessary.
- Revise drawings as directed
Requirements:
- Proficient in 2D and 3D aspects of AutoCAD
- Excellent communication skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written
- Skilled in PC usage and associated software
- Able to generate detailed construction drawings from sketches and specifications
- Knowledgeable of standard drafting practices and procedures
- Able to efficiently schedule and manage time
- Comprehension and ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, etc.
- Highly organized and committed to producing accurate and complete
Work Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Drafting, or related working experience.
