About the job C++ Gameplay Developer
The Gameplay Engineer is responsible for analyzing, developing, and evaluating large-scale, complex applications and systems. This person will research, interpret, and develop solutions to resolve problems and create product features. The Gameplay Engineer has broad knowledge with engineering sciences and follows international engineering trends and technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with team members to design, and implement well-engineered, reliable, maintainable, and bug-free applications and systems
Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures.
Optimizing legacy software by performing maintenance, updates, and upgrades
Implementing new game content
Extending, maintaining, and refactoring currently implemented systems
Identify technical and developmental risks/obstacles and generate solutions
Follow and learn best practices, processes, and systems standards
Other related duties as assigned
Must Have:
2+ years engineering experience in game development
Familiarity with cloud-based services and engineering development
Strong knowledge in C++ (11)
Knowledge in using MSVC, as well as GCC
Great debugging-skills, including core-dump debugging
Experience in refactoring and optimizing code
Experience in developing and deploying software across Windows and Linux
Knowledge of My-/SQL and php (7)
Great organizational and time management skills
Experience securing a networked product from online attacks and guarding the application against exploits
Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask requirements and feedback gathering across disciplines, access risk, define priorities, and resolve problems while meeting deadlines
Excellent critical and analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication
