Position Summary / Job Purpose:
This position manages supplier relationships to ensure alignment with department strategy and goals. This position is essential toward the strategic sourcing efforts within the Print & WorkPlace Solutions Procurement team. This position challenges specifications, commercial practices, operating practices, and business processes with a focus on driving cost-effective solutions. This position will be responsible to ensure that the commodity or projects assigned are delivered on time and on budget in alignment with our internal customers' needs and within our procurement guidelines and strategies, the scope related to this position is subject to change and will be tied toward a specific commodity and/or project. The qualified candidate will have Strong planning, project management, cost control, strategic sourcing, communication, and negotiating skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze category data and create metrics to drive Procurement category strategies
Understand trends in customers' needs and concerns, across categories and regions, to influence customers' priorities
Build strong relationship with customers and ensure customer satisfaction
Lead supplier selection process across multiple categories, internal teams, and regions, and create longer-term supplier selection strategies for management
Procure goods and services for assigned commodity or projects such as print equipment, print material, and facilities management. These goods and/or services can be related to shoreside or shipboard needs.
Implement a procurement and negotiation strategy based on variables such as price, quality, availability, warranty, project terms and conditions, etc.
Performs moderate to complex price analysis while considering total project cost, timing, and customer needs
Prepare, negotiate, and execute supplier agreements/ contracts that meet business requirements
Single point of contact for internal customers, ensures that products or services are delivered as needed to ensure on time delivery and/or successful project completion.
Manage internal customer expectations regarding timely execution of RFP release and processing of internal documents.
Lead timely resolution of escalated supplier issues
Maintain commercial interface with suppliers, Manage invoice reconciliations, and act as single point of contact for supplier relationships.
Provides guidance to internal customers for budget preparation such as product and service pricing for forecasting purposes.
Acts as content expert in assigned commodity/project.
Awareness of compliance requirements of regulatory agencies (DNV, IMO, SOLAS, USPH, US Coast Guard, etc.)
Works independently and prioritizes tasks based on priorities of work and/or projects schedules

Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent job experience
Emphasis in commodity strategy or procurement project management preferred.
7+ years' experience in Procurement, Technical, Engineering, Commercial or Project Environment
Accreditation from Supply Chain Industry organization (i.e. CPSM, CPIM) is a plus
Learn/work in multiple systems/tools such as JDE, Databases, Microsoft Office, MS Project, etc.
Strong commercial awareness and negotiating skills
Strong organizational and planning skills
Flexibility/adaptability to changing priorities, multiple internal customers
Ability to communicate effectively and work with internal and external customers
Ability to bring teams together to resolve issues and achieve targets and goals
Knowledge of strategic sourcing and procurement work processes and solutions
Sense of ownership and urgency
Ability to travel domestic and international (possibly less 10%)
