The Role
As a Business Process Unit Officer, you will evaluate, design, execute, and control process, balancing between regulatory & business to ensure that process outcomes are in harmony with the Bank's strategic plans & activities. Consistently pursue process innovations to deliver BetterBanking services to customers.
How you'll contribute
Revisit existing manuals for updating and identify old bulletin that needs in Knowledge base to supersede the old bulletins.
Gather relevant information on regulatory issuances from website/Compliance Office to redesign regulatory mandates and align with SBC culture and resources
Negotiate formulated guidelines and/or procedures taken from regulatory mandates with business unit/s involved e.g. Compliance, Risk, Legal & other applicable operations unit. Through collaboration, meetings, phone interview or e-mail query to come up with guidelines and/or procedures which are doable in branches.
Summarize information to come up with solutions which are acceptable to all stakeholders by conducting research, interview thru phone, e-mails to prevent disagreements/conflict resulting from confusion on the policies and guidelines
Review the output of PD Assistants by reading and eyeball checking the over all content and graphics, by checking in the system or other sources to ensure accuracy of issuances
Conduct counter checking of issuances posted by PD Assistants in the knowledge base through reading and checking related links and references to ensure that these are consistent and updated.
Promote awareness of branch personnel on relevant BBOG issuances through email reminders, bulletins and announcements and by gathering of feedback through meetings or surveys to ensure branch compliance to policies and guidelines.
Prepare and submit Internal and External Reports within turnaround time through email or hardcopy to comply with Bank management's or regulatory requirements.
Solicit information from process owners, Legal, Compliance, Risk and other affected Groups/Business Units. by conducting meetings, through phone interview, survey or email query to gather more information and come up with solution, plans and data to support process changes and improvement.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree, any field of study
At least 3 years of experience in Banking, Leasing/Financing Institutions, Research and Development
Knowledgeable in process re-engineering, management or branch operations
Highly skilled in data gathering, analytical, inquisitive. Gets more complete and accurate information by checking multiple sources.
Able to articulate thoughts, engage in conversation to gather much information, detail-oriented.
