About the Role
The Business Procedure Writer partners with LOB subject matter experts to understand business needs as it relates to procedures. Drafts and/or updates moderate to highly complex business procedures. Ensures procedures are compliant with Wells Fargo branding. Responsible for obtaining appropriate approvals from management and governance teams (ORM, RECOR, Legal) and may include facilitating certification process. Reviews changes to business operations for potential impact to other operations/procedures. Follows established guidelines for organization and design of work. Reviews regulatory changes or partners with regulatory change agents to proactively identify required updates. May maintain document library/manual/repository. May update tables in appropriate systems and/or create basic process maps. May participate in establishing documentation guidelines. May participate in procedure audits. Manages procedure timeline and pipeline. Provides guidance to less experienced procedure writers.
Responsibilities
Author/content owner support
Edit Retail content in compliance with WF Style Guides and internal processes to prepare content for publishing
Support of Retail content maintenance models (assist content owners/authors by managing the system aspects of updates)
Validate content ready for publishing/has been approved
Partner with content owners to support compliance in preparing content for certification cycles
Establish strong partnerships with authors to influence decisions affecting grammar/edits
Create and provide monthly report of author-initiated topics added, removed, or changed
Migration support:
Assist in gathering content inventory and conducting content analysis
Complete QA checks on content
Manually enter approved content into Component Content Management Platform (CCMP) using prescribed models
Complete various tasks associated with progressing content through established workflows until it is approved and ready for publishing (Ie/ applying metadata, building publications, reviews and QA checks)
Create and provide monthly report of author-initiated topics added, removed, or changed
Support and/or collect data for reporting
Business Acceptance testing
Market Skills and Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or any related field
At least 2 years of relevant experience in technical writing, editing, proofreading, formatting, etc
Must be able to adapt to assignments quickly. Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure. Ability to manage time and meet or exceed all deadlines
Available to flex schedule periodically per business requirements
Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word; Microsoft Access is preferred
Quality Assurance, Quality Control and/or Testing Experience. Eye for detail and comprehension skills. Previous Analytical experience
Demonstrated strength in English, both verbal and written communications
Experience with XML is preferred. Experience with Content Management systems
Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate strong negotiation, communication & presentation skills * With knowledge and relevant experience in supporting US Home Mortgage / Home Lending process, requirements, etc
Amenable to work on the night shift
