Collaborate with the data stakeholders and the rest of the Data Services team to design, develop, test, optimize, monitor, and maintain data pipelines for core and critical data assets.
Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations on data.
Develop data interfaces to facilitate data sharing across various applications.
Develop secure code in line with governance and compliance best practices.
Support the development of analytics programs, machine learning, and statistical models; prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling.
Collaborate with the Data Services Team to create and conform with data standards across the organization and implement measures to ensure data accuracy and consistency across various data consumption layers.
Assist in the creation, maintenance, and management of the data inventory and the data catalog
Collaborate with data stakeholders to improve data reliability, efficiency, quality, and accessibility throughout the data lifecycle
Explore new data sources and new technologies that can drive innovation.
Be a champion for increasing data literacy across the organization
Follow and promote data governance best practices
Qualifications:
We are looking for a candidate with 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role, who has attained a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or another quantitative field.
Skilled in SQL and SSIS
Experience with AWS cloud services: S3, Redshift, Glue, EC2, EMR, RDS
Experience with big data tools: Power BI, C#, AWS, API
Infrastructure: On-premise and Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Software Delivery Methodology: Agile Scrum, SDLC
Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, R, Athena
Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, such as Redshift, Postgres and Cassandra, Dynamo DB
Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
Strong project management and organizational skills.
