Accountabilities:
Creates, adheres to, and enforces processes and procedures for controlling data accuracy, changes to data models/flows, ultimately ensuring the quality and accuracy of enterprise data.
Analyzes data that does not align with requirements and recommends corrective actions.
Implements, enforces, and demonstrates strong understanding of data standards and policies.
Investigates and resolves data-related inconsistencies across business systems/areas.
Supports enterprise teams as an expert on enterprise data and provides guidance on how to use data and how to store data; oversees workflows and communications across teams that are accessing and using enterprise data.
Provides input to product owners for new data, process, or data quality KPI metrics.
Defines and assists with implementing specific data quality requirements and presents metrics documenting adherence and improvements to data quality rules.
Works in a matrixed, cross-functional organization - partnering as needed to resolve data issues that impact the business.
Partners with other members of the data stewardship community within RELX.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education & experience is required with an emphasis in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or MIS strongly preferred.
2+ years' experience in data management, data governance, data quality, master data management, and/or designing and implementing functional systems and data in a structured process preferred.
Verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to establish and cultivate relationships with key business partners.
Motivated to understand and keep current with relevant Industry trends and best practices, commercial aptitude.
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to navigate ambiguous situations.
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects along with recurring responsibilities and adjust to changing priorities with minimal leader input.
Ability to research data definition, usage and flow to gain expertise in existing systems.
Troubleshooting skills to investigate, resolve, and escalate problems. Identifies need for technical assistance to help in problem resolution.
Understands and can apply key data stewardship and data governance concepts.
Data and business analysis skills, including strong documentation skills.
Understands how data flow in the system and how it impacts downstream system
For Internal Applicants, experience with MBS- master billing system is preferred
Someone with salesforce experience
Knowledge with other business tools proficiency eg. SQL , they will need as they progress in the role
