The Biz Dev Manager is primarily responsible for creating, developing and sustaining new businesses as well as transforming existing businesses using analytics, in order to achieve revenue growth and enhance work efficiency. The role needs to analyze current ways of doing things and suggest ways to make the business run at an optimal rate. The role is responsible for seamless coordination with both clients and internal stakeholders. Ultimately, the role is responsible for business growth, profitability and harmonious working relationships with internal and external teams. The responsibilities include, among others:
Developing in-depth knowledge about business practices, marketing activities, prospective clients and industry trends.
Maintaining a knowledge repository of clients/partners, referrals, prospects and presentations.
Developing strong customer relationships in order to generate high volume of prospective clients/partners.
Effectively overseeing assigned clients and loan products through Integrity, Competence, Enthusiasm and Teamwork.
Managing appointments effectively and being extremely organized.
Participation in industry forums, client/partner discussions, and conferences as a representative of the organization.
Job Duties
Prepare and get alignment on the strategies that will help deliver the growth targets.
Be 100% committed to deliver based on the agreed Budget for each Fiscal Year. • Regular cross-functional meetings to determine progress on the execution of plans and/or needed follow-throughs.
Hiring, motivating, developing and monitoring direct reports.
Creatively think of ways to grow the business and elevate it to a new level.
Suggest new processes, policies and procedures that can improve the way Kayamo does business.
Prepare presentation decks and materials as well as present the status and direction of various projects being handled.
Ensure all assigned tasks are done on time and within agreed budget.
Job Requirements
It is preferred that the Biz Dev Manager have at least 3 years' experience in a marketing, sales or business
development function. Additionally, a Biz Dev Manager needs to be comfortable coordinating across
functions and managing multiple departments and people. The role requires strong communication skills to deal with partners, stakeholders, colleagues and vendors, as the person represents Kayamo leadership.
