Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager(Battery Energy Storage System) to work within their facilities located in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines for a permanent assignment.
Job Purpose
The Business Development Manager will be responsible in identifying and originating Battery Energy
Storage Systems (BESS) -related opportunities multiple jurisdictions and market segments.
Job Description
Business plan execution: platform/company acquisition, project/pipeline acquisition, co-development
agreements, hiring, integration plan, tax/legal structuring, structured finance, marketing/PR
Developing strong external relationships with key stakeholders throughout the market (developers, financial advisors, project funders etc.)
Project/pipeline/co-development execution: from opportunity origination to financial close, including contract negotiation and due diligence (tax, legal, technical) coordination and managing third party engagement.
Manage an auction process from identification and internal approvals to successful participation and then execution.
Manage and run financial models to assess the returns of multiple projects.
Able to negotiate the following contracts: Co-development Agreements, Land related Agreements,
Power Purchase Agreements, Engineering-Procurement- Construction contracts, Share Purchase
Agreements, Asset Purchase Agreements, Investment Agreements
Generating and understanding the company strategies, developing best business practices, and originating relevant opportunities
Reporting concisely and clearly to the Line Manager and Regional Director.
Requirements of This Role
5+ year experience in business development in the Philippines energy market
Power Purchase Agreements experience (structure, terms etc).
Degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics or Mathematics ideally required.
Demonstrated understanding of the Philippines electricity energy market.
Deep understanding of battery energy storage systems, it's applications and other renewable energy projects.
Knowledge of key project finance documents
Exposure to contract negotiations
Understanding of the structure of large-scale renewable energy projects
Attentive to details as well as being able to understand the broader picture.
Self-driven and able to work flexibly with stakeholders from different cultures.
Experience with complex, multi-stakeholder projects Fluent in English. Additional languages would be an asset.
Good verbal and writing skills in English.
Team player and can be able to work with minimal supervision.
