JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS
The Business Development Associate performs predominantly on outbound opportunity development within the Firm. The focus is to help the department maximize conversions of prospective business to revenue and high-value prospects that were identified through detailed industry research. Working closely with the practice groups (advisory, tax, audit and outsourcing teams), the Business Development Associate acts as the first contact of prospects and will be responsible for nurturing prospective leads until the close of the sale. This role is critical to new business growth.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Contact potential leads through outbound marketing activities such as setting appointments for engagement teams.
Work with internal customer data and use effective online search skills to discover potential industries and customer segment opportunities.
Develop and prioritize opportunities and produce lead lists.
Create and maintain monthly generated leads as provided in the database.
Research and refine lead contacts and develop contact schedules.
Respond quickly to online lead submissions to accurately determine lead value and distribution.
Work with the respective engagement managers to leverage regional and industry knowledge.
Reignite unrated appointments from previous month(s)
Accurately enter all information into Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and monitor these for timely and accurate reporting.
Meet performance targets and required in the KPI's
Able to document processes and be able to provide suggestions when updating business development policies.
Deliver and provide administrative support and ad-hoc requests such as business card printing, filling of forms and minutes, proposal creation and meeting attendance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent work ethics and exemplary interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Sound decision making, organizational and time management skills.
Strong presentation skills to deliver a value proposition. Desire and ability to identify new areas for learning, take advantage of learning opportunities and use newly gained knowledge and skill on the job.
Consultative selling skills and B2B exposure are a plus.
