About the role:
We are looking for a hands-on Business Consultant to join the client's growing Regulatory Center of Excellence.
The client provides a broad range of services and is now expanding the team responsible for our cloud-based Regulatory Reporting Platform. As part of our core team, we are looking for a Business Consultant with solid investment management software expertise to keep our platform up to date and compliant with the latest regulations.
Within the Regulatory Center of Excellence, you will work with experienced and supportive colleagues who are experts in providing solutions and services to the client market units around the world. This unique combination of market experience in regulations and expertise fosters an environment of quick learning and knowledge sharing, which helps keep the client at the forefront of the regulatory landscape.
By working with our Regulatory Reporting Platform, you will help materialize the client's growth potential across new and existing customers across the world. The Platform provides complete end-to-end monitoring of Transaction Reporting to comply with EMIR, MIFIR, and SFTR regimes.
While based in Manila, the global reach of the Regulatory Center of Excellence will give you exposure to different market units around the world, and all parts of the client's internal organization.
Your responsibilities:
Implementation and maintenance of configuration solutions based on European financial institutions and Asset Managers.
Support maintenance and enhancement of the client's Regulatory Reporting Platform in close collaboration with its Manager.
Position requirements:
Your qualifications:
You are interested in the analysis, design, and implementation of regulatory requirements in a software system.
You can read, understand, and interpret regulatory texts (legal ordinances, law texts, guidelines, implementing technical standards...) or are willing to build up and incorporate these qualifications.
You have experience in or knowledge of EMIR (European Market Infrastructure Regulation) or its equivalents.
You have an interest and basic knowledge in cloud technologies like scripting languages, XML, and APIs.
You have experience in Investment management software
You are service-oriented.
You can act proactively within your frequent customer interactions.
You act professionally and you have excellent communication and presentation skills.
You enjoy coaching and transferring your knowledge proactively.
You are fluent in English.
You have a master's degree in Mathematics/IT, Physics, Business, or Accounting.
You have the capability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation.
You have 2+ years of work experience in a consultancy firm or IT department of a financial firm, or alternatively Ph.D. graduate.
You have experience working in a globally distributed organization.
Additionally, these skills are a plus:
CFA level 1-3
SQL, XML, Excel (expert level)
Languages like German, French, Italian, Spanish
