Job Purpose
To play a leading role in analyzing and communicating business requirements for assigned business process areas and projects relating to Finance solutions. As a member of the IT team, contribute to the definition, elaboration and refinement of business requirements and ensure the realization of agreed requirements, as a result of IT and process solutions deployed.
Main Duties
As the Business Analyst, you will be exposed to the following scopes:
System Support
Evaluate bug and enhancement requests submitted by your user community
Write specifications for bug and enhancement requests
Provide after-hours support for S1 severity bugs in line with agreed On Call rotas
Test enhancements and bug fixes
Assist team in prioritizing bug and enhancement requests
Support compliance controls and company policies within IT
Functional Requirements
Analyzing business requirements and developing solutions that are achievable, acceptable and consistent with IT's design concepts
Participate in requirements workshops, focus groups, and interviews; including modeling current and future state business processes and asking detailed questions in order to elicit and refine complex business requirements
Organizing and capturing requirements including authoring business requirement documentation, workflow processes, and fit/gap analysis
Evaluating, enhancing and redeveloping the object and workflow models to meet the business requirements
Assisting the business and user community to accurately capture basic business requirements and enhancement requests
Participating in requirements gathering activities and documenting the outcome
Identifying the solutions to basic user requirements and clearly communicating these solutions to the development team, test teams, business specialists and user community
System Testing
Lead and execute testing for responsible modules and rapidly providing solutions to any defects that are detected
Develop test schedule and scenarios for both system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT)
Build test data for system test and assist users with building test data for UAT
User Training
Provide 1:1 training as needed
Write and manage system updates to training guide based on business process
Actively support your business community's training program
Customer Management
Managing the expectations with the customers and cross functional teams, i.e. balancing their needs with wants, and educating as appropriate
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Fresh IT graduates from Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Computer Technology, Computer Engineering, or other relevant courses.
Ability to collaborate with senior resources on high-level goals and features.
Good written and verbal communication skills in fluent English.
Can follow written and verbal instructions accurately and promptly.
Asks questions, checks for understanding, explains clearly and precisely.
Able to organize own time to deliver against tasks set by others, with a short-term horizon.
Able to work cooperatively with others to achieve short-term project and team goals.
Builds stable and useful working relationships within a small project team and immediate development team.
Willing to work mid-shift schedule.
