Operate a bus safely along designated routes, adhering to schedules.
Collect fares, issue tickets, and check passes.
Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers, including assisting disabled passengers.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Communicate effectively with passengers, answering queries and making announcements.
Handle difficult situations or anti-social behaviour professionally.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger endorsement (and airbrake endorsement if applicable).
Clean driving record.
Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Patience and ability to handle diverse passenger situations.
Physical ability to operate a large vehicle for extended periods.
