BUILDING ENGINEER
 
Job Summary:
 
The Building Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and technical supervision of all building systems and equipment in the condominium. This includes mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, elevator systems, and other engineering-related concerns. The Building Engineer ensures that all systems are running efficiently, safely, and in compliance with government regulations and condominium standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspection, operation, and preventive maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEPF) systems.
Ensure the proper functioning of generators, elevators, pumps, air conditioning units, and other equipment.
Coordinate with contractors and service providers for repairs, installations, and testing of equipment.
Troubleshoot and respond to emergency maintenance and engineering concerns.
Maintain up-to-date maintenance logs, equipment records, and reports.
Ensure all building systems are compliant with safety standards and government regulations (e.g., BFP, DOLE, LGU permits).
Assist in the preparation and execution of building improvement projects.
Recommend technical improvements and cost-efficient solutions for building operations.
Support the Property and Operations Managers in planning and executing annual maintenance programs.
Qualifications:
Licensed Mechanical or Electrical Engineer (PRC Registered).
At least 2-3 years of experience in building engineering or facilities management, preferably in condominium settings.
Strong knowledge of MEPF systems, building codes, and safety regulations.
Experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment monitoring.
Knowledgeable in government compliances such as BFP inspections, DOLE safety requirements, and LGU permits.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
