Primary roles and functions:
Champions, takes command of, and leads/assists in the end-to-end planning, execution, and assessment of the category/brand's various periodic business plans (e.g. ABP, quarterly plans, monthly plans, etc). This includes top-line sales and expenses responsibility for the unit.
Leads the development of, and execution of, all strategic market and competitive research functions for the category, with the express purpose of leveraging market data/research to further ground and sharpen trade + tactical executions for the category.
Partners with the CMO/management team to develop, implement, and improve success metrics to gauge category/brand portfolio health (i.e. "developing market measurables"), keeping in mind category budgets and sales forecasts.
Takes command responsibility over the conceptualization, development, reinforcement, and evaluation of category organizational structure. Responsibility is included but not limited to partnering with HR in recruiting, and developing personnel talent for his/her department.
Takes top-level command, and ultimate accountability over all advertising budgets and spending tactics, with an emphasis on maximizing digital over analog channels of engagement. Shares this responsibility with digital operations teams.
Particular emphasis here will be on shoring up influencer marketing, PR and media networking efforts between the brand and its key VIP patrons
Additional qualifications:
Educational: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or some similar equivalent (though frankly, not going to be strict re: major as long as the person has business experience)
Work: 3-5 years work experience, preferably in the health, wellness, and retail industry, with a proven track record of managing a small team of at least 3-5 people, for extended periods of time, wherein he/she has primary accountability for said persons' performance
