The Brand and Business Development Manager is responsible for creating and implementing sales strategies to promote and sell the company's products and services to relevant clients and accounts. About the Brand and Business Development Manager Role:
In this business critical role you will be responsible for taking care of and developing the business's account portfolio, seeing to it that all existing customers are served from end-to-end, ensuring that quotas are met, and seeking out new opportunities to grow the business by developing new sales channels, generating leads, engaging with prospects, negotiating, and closing deals. The Brand and Business Development Manager also equips each Sales Executive to be able to monitor target sales achievement in line with the company's overall objective, delivery completion, and sales collection.
Key Responsibilities:
Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analysing sales options
Creates and implements a road map for sales channels and accounts, and developmental plans for the sales team
Provides insight and crafts engaging and effective incentive programmes
Reviews team sales performance and prepares weekly, monthly and quarterly sales updates/reports
Manages account database, and maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements
Identifies product improvements or new products by keeping abreast of industry trends, market activities, and competitors
Coordinates with the service providers for inventory management, logistics, invoicing, etc.
Attends trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings as needed
To succeed in the Brand and Business Development Manager job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior business development teams, across borders and internal matrix.
Key Requirements:
At least three years in a managerial post, and eight years of relevant sales experience, preferably in the food service industry
Bachelor's degree in the field of management/marketing or any related field
Demonstrated ability to lead teams with reliable and consistent results
Proven ability to drive the sales process and build competitive advantage
Strong business sense and industry expertise
Solid presentation, organisational and negotiation skills
Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
