Bookkeeper - Silver Peaks Accounting Services, LLC
Job Summary:
The Bookkeeper is responsible for undertaking all bookkeeping activities. They will be processing end-to-end transaction allocation and accounts management, including helping with the preparation of financial reports.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The position requires you to report to the Accountant
Your major role is to perform all the activities of a financial controller
You will work with your Manager, helping train you in technical knowledge and reviewing your work
Can perform all the tasks of an Intermediate or Senior Bookkeeper.
Ability to work autonomously
Excellent communication skills and confidence
Ability to manage and prioritize workload
Willingness to learn and can adapt to changes
Knowledgeable and can apply accounting concepts
Team Work:
From time to time you may be asked to review and check less qualified and experienced team member's work
You will be required to work in a team and be willing and able to delegate work when asked to by your Manager
Technical Requirements:
Knowledge of Accounting Software and Applications (Quickbooks)
Knowledge in Project and Task Management Software is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system
Account reconciliation to assert accuracy of transactions
Match bank feed transactions in online accounting software
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
Report on missing transactional information and documentation
Make adjusting entries and complete necessary reconciliations
Review communications from clients posted to work item timelines for relevant information
Process payroll
Process monthly billing for clients
Quarterly and Annual payroll report filing
Process accounts payable for clients
Annual 1099 preparation
Assist with forecasting and budgeting
· Excellent oral and written communications skills
Communicate with clients regarding questions
Software Skills/Experience:
Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.)
· QuickBooks Online (willing to become certified)
Gusto is a plus
Clio - Practice Management System experience is a plus
