Job Summary:
As an Bookkeeper, you will be a fundamental part of the Finance team, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, tracking expenses, and supporting financial processes within the company. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working with financial data while maintaining confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Record daily financial transactions and ensure they are classified correctly.
Expense Tracking:
Track and monitor company expenses, verifying the accuracy and legitimacy of all expenditures.
Reconcile credit card and bank statements.
Invoicing and Payments:
Prepare and send invoices to clients and customers.
Process and manage payments from clients and vendors in a timely manner.
Data Entry and Reporting:
Enter financial data into accounting software and maintain digital and physical records.
Generate basic financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheets.
Budget Assistance:
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, providing financial data and analysis as needed.
Vendor and Supplier Relations:
Maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers, addressing inquiries and resolving payment issues.
Financial Documentation:
Assist with the organization and maintenance of financial documents and records.
Ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field is a plus.
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Zoho) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Information:
This position may require occasional overtime during busy periods.
The bookkeeper may be asked to handle ad-hoc financial tasks as requested by the Finance Manager.
