We are looking for an enthusiastic, goal-driven, and highly skilled Bookkeeper that will join our team!
As a Bookkeeper, you will be reporting to the Finance and Operations Director, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of accounting systems and related business systems, assisting with the preparation of monthly financial and management reporting, and assisting with various accounting processes on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll including employee setup, fortnightly and monthly pay runs, superannuation, payroll tax reporting.
Completing financial reports regularly and providing information to the management team.
Assist with preparing annual budgets.
Investigating errors in business systems, financial reports and correcting faulty reporting methods.
Documenting finance and business processes.
Bank reconciliations.
Prepare and validate data for monthly and quarterly invoicing.
Systematic filing of paperwork as required.

Requirements
Practical experience as an Assistant Accountant or Bookkeeper in an Australian company
Practical working knowledge of accounting processes including invoicing, receipting, debtor/credit transactions.
Knowledge of GST principles.
Strong general ledger accounting experience with entries through to final trial balance.
Strong understanding of processes of a computerised accounting system.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
General Ledger reconciliations including daily bank reconciliations.
Strong communication skills both oral and written as the role will engage across all team members.
Initiative in making recommendations to improve work efficiency to meet changing business needs.
Once directed, capable of performing the task with minimal supervision.
Strong organisational and planning skills with planning workload and managing competing priorities.
MYOB experience preferred, but not essential.
Ability to work autonomously as part of an international team.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or TAFE Equivalent Diploma.
