We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join a UK based client and become a subject matter expert for an automated bookkeeping platform.
The role requires strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross-cultural environment. The role is expected to have regular and independent communication with management, peers in finance and other functions/business.
Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping
Reconciling the bank accounts and requesting missing invoices
Reconcile payments made and received with the relevant property projects (portfolios, properties, tenancies)
Test and validate improvements to automated bookkeeping rules on the client's platform
Be the subject matter expert to help the Client Services with bookkeeping queries from clients
Reviewing the profit and loss and balance sheet for irregularities and ensuring it is in line with expectations of the client.
Delivering all the above within the agreed timescales and working towards the bookkeeping diary
Maintain and update all facets of client's accounting records including data entry, reconciliation of bank, credit card, loan and accounts.
Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable if necessary.
Communicate and timely follow‐up of information required.
Ensure client accounts are always up to date.
Assist Management where required.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting Technology or anything equivalent
At least 2 - 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Experience in Quickbooks, Xero, MYOB is a plus.
Must have strong attention to detail.
Must be organized, goal-driven and results oriented.
Excellent English written and oral communication skills is required.
Must be amenable to work on a UK/midshift schedule (3:30 PM to 11:30 PM - Monday to Friday)
Applicants must have a reliable internet connection for the work-from-home setup.
