Bookkeeper (Australian Accounting)
Our Australian client, a mid-tier accounting firm from Brisbane is looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join their team in Makati.
About the role
As an experienced bookkeeper joining our team, you will be required to work independently attending to the bookkeeping and tax compliance needs of our clients.
The main responsibilities of this role will include:
Processing Accounts Payable including data entry and reconciliations
Processing Accounts Receivable including processing sales invoices and reconciliations
Processing a variety of payroll and superannuation entries
Bank reconciliations
High volume data entry
Assisting in the Month End process
General accounts administration support
Preparation of business activity statements (BAS)
Reconciliation of all general ledger accounts
Communication with Australian team members in respect of queries and review points
About the Person
The role will suit an Accounting graduate with a client-centric work style, who is looking to continue their full-time career. Additionally, the successful candidate will have:
2-5 years of experience in a bookkeeping role for Australian SME business clients or Accounting firms
Demonstrated experience using MYOB and/or Xero (essential)
Demonstrated experience using SAP and Quickbooks (preferred but not essential)
Demonstrated experience in processing Australian payroll
Experienced with health and aged care industry (preferred but not essential)
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Strong written and verbal English communication skills for communicating with our Australian professional staff
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Effective task and time management skills
High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confnhvcidentiality
A clear and professional communication style
A customer service approach
A positive attitude and the desire to contribute to a high performing team
A high level of personal maturity
