Responsibilities:
Encodes admissions
Encodes patients charges
Checks and prepares Statement of Account
Ensures accurate billing of patients at all times
Checks and receive requirements submitted for insurance deductions
Prepare requirements for patients who need financial assistance but with the permission of her immediate supervisor
Ability to use a 10-key calculator as well as billing computer systems and software
Effective communication skills and ability to resolve issues over the phone with patients and insurance companies
Knowledge of medical terminology as it applies to the billing process.
Qualifications:
any 4 year graduate of any course
Preferably with at least 6 months experience in billing position in hospital settings
Willing to render overtime work
with good skills in computations
with ICD 10 code knowledge in an advantage
