Up for an exciting new career Our Regional Finance Team is seeking a highly motivated Billing Specialist to join a critical part of our operations, ensuring our Kitchens and Concepts are billed correctly and get paid on time. Based ideally at foodpanda Philippines, the role will be supporting Thailand market and will also work very closely with our Commercial Team, Support Centre and relevant in-country teams. The role will also requires to work on 2 half days over the weekends if the billing cycles falls on a weekend but will get to have off days on following Mon or Tues. As it is supporting Thailand market so will be following the Thailand Public Holidays. Responsibilities The Billing Specialist reports to the Finance Operations Team. The role has a strong focus on executing, monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of the billing process across the region. In addition, identify improvement operations and work with our Transformation team and IT Teams to deliver key automation initiatives. Core deliverables are as below: Support the Billing Team and spearhead key strategic projects across the region, Drive efficiency and effectiveness of the billing cycle leveraging core IT infrastructure, such as SAP, Salesforce and Pandora (Data warehouse) Keeping stakeholders informed with relevant reporting/analysis for strategic decision making. Ensuring Kitchens and Concepts are paid correctly within the expected Service Level Agreement Establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with stakeholders Support in-country teams with relevant insights with monthly reporting Responsible for researching, tracking, and resolving billing issues on a timely basis Ensuring the accuracy of invoices with master data before approving payment Prepare and post any Revenue recognition journals impacting regional financial Continuous improvement of the billing process and support onboarding of any new countries into the regional office Other duties as assigned Requirements 3 years or more of relevant accounting and operations experience, with a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance. Experienced in either either SAP or Oracle ERP systems for Billing Familiar with Salesforce (CRM) and integration with ERP systems Strong analytical skills and who can foresee upstream and downstream impacts Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of (or experience in) tech industry or fast-paced environments Proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft applications for analysis and reporting Process-oriented with an understanding of both financial and operational controls. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines Experience with SQL or the desire to learn Familiar with IFRS revenue recognition principles Demonstrated project management experience and the ability to work cross-functionally. A creative mindset and a willingness to question assumptions and conventional wisdom. You love creating new systems and solving problems via infrastructure and automation.
