Audits the accuracy of billing information entered in the system and monitors the operation of the billing systems. Develops solutions to billing issues and works with systems design to implement new features. May work on billing projects with Billing Operations Mgmt.ResponsibilitiesBillingMonitors and ensures that the monthly billing is complete and accurate for assigned customer base in accordance with close calendarProcesses billing adjustments timely and accurately to customer accounts making sure that the proper levels of authorization and documentation are in placeReviews Invoices and contracts, and conducts variance analysis, with sign off requiredReview and resolve assigned billing cases in a timely and accurate manner to meet all internal SLAsWorks closely with cross functional organizations to respond to customer inquiries to investigate and resolve potential customer billing issuesResolves and tracks billing issues as they arise working with the upstream teams to fix root cause problems (e.g. SLA credits, install date discrepancies)Performs month end close activitiesProcesses data fix as requestedProject ManagementParticipates on projects and ad hoc assignments as neededResearches and provides backup for internal/external audit requestsImplements and documents processes and procedures required by SOXProvides input into the on-going development and support of billing systems, processes, and policiesSystem KnowledgeKnowledge of Oracle (preferably Cloud environment)Experience with Siebel, Salesforce (SFDC)Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word proficient at intermediate levelQualifications3-5 years Billing experience in a global or multi-national companiesExcellent communication skills including research, writing, and presentation skillsExperience dealing with escalations from internal and external customersMust have a 'can do' attitude, foster a mindset of accurate and timely billing and has a great attention to detailCan work as both an individual and as part of a teamModels the Equinix Culture and ValuesSkills and AttributesAnalytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify patterns, trends, and discrepancies in billing dataAttention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in invoices and billing processesCommunication Skills: Strong communication skills to interact with clients, resolve issues, and collaborate with other departmentsProblem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve billing discrepancies and other issuesTime Management Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
