About The Opportunity
The Bid Manager supports our APAC sales teams by managing responses to RFx documents (Request for Bids, Proposals, Tenders, Information), including global opportunities. In this role, you provide process governance and support for sales teams and develop consistent, timely and winning bids for public sector and commercial accounts.
As an essential support role to our direct sales force, you must speak and write both English and Mandarin Chinese fluently as you support sales teams across the APAC region, including China, Hong Kong & Taiwan . You manage customer-facing documents from initial kick-off through submission, including writing key sections, editing the document and ensuring that submissions meet response requirements. You develop bids that focus on resolving customer issues and driving positive change while ensuring that documents are consistent with Iron Mountain's messaging, positioning and brand. Your experience includes the ability to create trusted relationships with key stakeholders across business lines and a track record of delivering successful outcomes for customers.
The Bid Manager reports to the Manager, APAC Bid Management and is part of the Sales Support Services team within our Global Business Services Organization.
What You Will Do
Manage the complete lifecycle of multiple, concurrent bids in line with defined processes and best practices. Ensure bid responses focus on resolving customer business issues, aligning with business strategy, presenting a defined win theme and articulating value.
Develop thorough, customer-centric bid responses, owning responsibility for the quality, accuracy and integrity of the final submission.
Manage the bid process from assignment through submission, using required tools and processes including RFPIO and bid schedules. Write and edit sections for continuity, logic, organization, message and compliance to emphasize Iron Mountain differentiators and win themes.
Communicate with designated subject matter experts to understand complex solutions and write non-standard responses to tender questions and technical requirements. Maintain professional working relationships with SMEs in identified function groups such as HR, Marketing, Legal, IT, Security and Operations.
Create and help maintain bid content and other internal/external resources that can be used by the entire Proposal & Bid Management team.
Additional Responsibilities
Contribute best practice and continuous improvement suggestions that support repetitive, high-quality service on a global basis.
Assist sales with creation of vendor questions and strategy for customers prior to release of a formal tender.
Support sales opportunities at the presentation and best and final offer stage, including messaging, slide creation and coaching.
Regularly update the Bid content library
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of all Iron Mountain products and services and their corresponding value proposition.
What You Will Bring To Our Role
Preferably a Philippines citizen residing in the Philippines
Verbal and written fluency in both English and Mandarin
College degree in journalism, communications or similar field preferred
Minimum 4 years of experience managing complex bids for public sector and commercial customers, including multinational accounts.
Proven track record managing bid development process from pre-RFP stage through completion, including large, cross-functional teams.
Excellent writing, editing and presentation experience.
Able to effectively manage multiple, concurrent projects.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of MS Office, Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat and similar platforms.
Experience with content management systems and bid libraries helpful.
Understanding of service-based solution selling, with preference on cloud-based services, records management and digital solutions.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required.
APMP certification a plus
