We are looking for a highly capable backend developer to optimize our web-based application performance. You will be collaborating with our front-end application developers, designing back-end components, and integrating data storage and protection solutions.
To ensure success as a backend developer, you should possess extensive knowledge of Node.Js-based services and experience in a similar role. An accomplished backend developer will be someone whose expertise results in the stable, fast, and secure exchange of data between servers and end-users.
Ultimately, you will be working on a new web application with features such as account registration, record management, Word document, and PDF manipulation and integration with other systems.
Backend Developer Responsibilities:
Seeking a backend developer to work on the existing, newly developed backend to design database models and APIs.
Will initially be the sole backend developer so experience in designing a good architecture will be valuable, though will work closely with an application architect
Will work with the frontend development team to create the APIs needed for the application
Will work with the systems admin to prepare the backend code for AWS automated build and deployment (serverless architecture)
Follow Agile development process
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or similar.
At least two to four years' experience as a Node.js/backend developer.
Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks.
Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3.
Superb interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
Great organizational and time management skills.
Availability to resolve urgent web application issues outside of business hours.
