JOB OVERVIEW
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering solutions based on Microsoft Azure on Microsoft Azure fully embracing the power of DevOps and automation, helping our clients' business problems by bringing the right pieces of the enormous Microsoft cloud portfolio to the mix. You will work with client stakeholders, business analysts, project mangers and practice leads to craft end to end solutions on Azure with your full stack development experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Consulting with clients; to understand their needs, navigate them through their application modernisation and development journey, influence decisions and advise the Project Management team of the recommended approach to deliver outcomes that are in the clients' best interests.
Developing solutions; design, develop, test and maintain business software on Microsoft Azure platform; writing application architecture and technical design specifications, project backlogs, user stories, acceptance criteria, creating bottom-up estimations; setting up CI / CD; setting up source control structure; developing application code - front-end, back-end, APIs, database, integrations; analysing integration and other non-functional requirements; writing as-built documentation. Primarily we are looking for web applications, but this might extend to additional platforms such as Microsoft Teams which will be supported by a team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Development experience of around 8+ years, Azure experience of 3+ years - Must have
Microsoft certifications (Azure Solutions Architect Expert / DevOps Engineer Expert / Azure Developer Associate) - Must have
Certified Scrum Master or similar Agile certifications - Nice to have
Deep, demonstrated understanding of key application design and development principles, principles and patterns such as SOLID, cloud architecture patterns, cloud design patterns, integration patterns, Agile / Kanban / Scrum - Must have
Deep, demonstrated understanding and experience of software development lifecycle, DevOps principles, automation and team collaboration - Must have
Experience developing new applications / modernizing existing applications to Microsoft Cloud technologies, including large and complex Azure based application delivery - Must have
Experience delivering large scale, enterprise level IT projects, end to end - Must have
A strong track record in delivering quality outcomes with demonstrated project success - Must have
Demonstrated experience in technology enabled innovation and positive disruption - Nice to have
Expert proficiency in Microsoft Azure technologies:
Identity platforms - Azure Active Directory (must), Azure AD B2C (nice to have), associated third party identity providers (nice to have)
Azure DevOps / GitHub for DevOps, CI / CD, source code governance (must)
Azure services portfolio - advanced level understanding and service selection based on client business needs (must)
Azure data persistence options - well-rounded understanding of various first- and third-party database (relational, NoSQL, analytical) options in Azure and pros / cons of each (must)
Azure PaaS application architecture spanning Web, Serverless, Functions (must)
Azure cloud native application architecture spanning PaaS, web and container services (must)
Technologies
JavaScript and SPA frameworks, at least one - React / Redux / Angular / Vue, Typescript (must)
.NET Core, .NET (must)
API design and development (must)
Application security, OWASP top 10 (must)
SQL - data modelling, table design, stored procedures (must)
Artefacts / package repository setup and usage (must)
Automated unit tests - Nunit or similar (must)
Ability to perform code reviews (must)
Containers - Docker (must), various container services in Azure (nice to have), Kubernetes (nice to have)
