The role is for an Azure Cloud Engineer who has a solid background in Azure Cloud technologies. The Cloud engineer responsibility is to build and support our Azure Cloud environment. The IT team, which you will be a part of, is responsible for developing and implementing a totally new way for IWG - moving into Azure Cloud; into a full automated environment; shape the way IWG is doing Infrastructure management and provide new features to its customers.
What you'll need to succeed
We are ideally looking for someone with a history of working Cloud technologies, especially Microsoft Azure for the last 2 years, that can develop, automate and standardize our Cloud environment using scripting language such as Azure RM, Terraform, CLI or PowerShell.
Role and responsibilities
Deploy highly available, scalable and secure cloud infrastructure, in public or hybrid cloud providers using industry best practices.
Work closely with the Development, Quality Assurance and Operations teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support application migration projects.
Operational and security monitoring and care for the applications hosting platforms.
Research and recommend new product ideas/innovations and proposals on new and emerging technologies.
Identify new industry tools/methodologies that enable automation efficiencies and address applications automation challenges.
Perform system analysis and programming activities which require extensive research and analysis.
Provide technical/engineering support for new and existing applications from code delivery until the retirement of the application.
Create required technical documentation.
Perform release validation testing and beta support for projects.
Research problems and develop solutions to the problems.
Qualifications /Skills / Experience
At least 2 years' experience as software/cloud/DevOps engineer
BSc or Master's in computer science or related degree (or proven experience in field)
Experience with cloud solutions (preferably Azure)
Automation: Terraform, ARM Template, PowerShell/Azure CLI
Cloud and on-premises networking
Virtual Machine management, Windows Server and Linux
Logging and monitoring of cloud deployments
Experience with Agile, DevOps environments and test integration
Microsoft cloud certifications will be a big plus
Azure PaaS development experience will be a big plus
Excellent communication skills
Experience with virtual and cloud environments
Familiar with one or more IDE's (Visual Studio, PowerShell, Azure CLI).
You will need a proven background and experience within a similar role using cloud technologies in a cloud environment
A background of cloud software engineering and experience with languages such as Terraform, C#, Python, or Bash
Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
Agile (Scrum or Kanban) Strong operational knowledge of Linux systems and Windows Systems
