Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an AWS DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on the AWS platform. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our applications and services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline development, deployment, and operational processes, using modern DevOps practices and tools. Responsibilities:
1. Design, implement, and manage the cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
2. Develop and maintain automated deployment pipelines and configuration management systems using tools like AWS CloudFormation, AWS CodePipeline, and Ansible.
3. Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications for cloud deployment, including containerization using Docker and orchestration using AWS ECS or Kubernetes.
4. Monitor and troubleshoot the performance and availability of cloud services and applications, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
5. Implement robust backup and disaster recovery strategies for critical systems and data.
6. Continuously improve infrastructure and deployment processes through automation and scripting.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, tools, and best practices, and recommend their adoption to enhance our infrastructure and processes.
8. Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for data protection and access control.
9. Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain system integrity.
10. Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
2. Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, preferably with a focus on AWS.
3. In-depth knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, and others.
4. Strong understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure concepts in cloud environments.
5. Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
6. Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
7. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or GitLab.
8. Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like ECS or Kubernetes.
9. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues quickly.
10. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
11. AWS certifications like AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator are a plus.
