The Role
As Auxiliary Governance Officer, you will be responsible in coordinating with various departments and organizations to ensure low or minimum risk exposure of the department by complying on various policies and procedures. He/she will also be responsible in recommending control measures that will protect the department guidelines and company policies.
How you'll contribute
Submit operational risk report and coordinates with the units for issues and incidents arising from Collection and Recovery
Monitors and manages action plans to resolve issues coming from RCSAs, Risk Assessments, BCP test results, Compliance findings, Internal/external audit findings as indicated in the Operational Risk Management report
Act as a liaison personnel for internal and external audits (e.g. coming BSP, SEC, external auditors, etc)
Ensures that responsible units submit audit requirements, replies to issues, and provide resolutions to concerned internal/external auditors on a timely manner.
Coordinates with Compliance, Audit and Risk Management unit on various information related but not limited to Control and Monitoring, IT Risk, Information Security, Business Continuity Management, Data Privacy, Compliance and Risk for proper cascade of information to the department
Acts as the BCP representative of the department. Together with the Collection Management team, he/she will participate in planning and testing, reviews and obtaining plans from vendor partners (if applicable) to ensure contingent measures are in place.
Ensures that BCP plans are properly cascaded to all employees and practiced in the department
Act as the representative of the department for internal and external meetings related to governance matters
Monitor individual calls and provide appropriate coaching to ensure achievement of KPIs, observe Agent demeanor, conformity to company policies, and provide evaluations and feedback based on developed scorecard.
Advisory role in implementing additional control measures to strengthen existing processes in ensuring full compliance to existing department guidelines and policies.
Conducts day 2 validation of customer maintenances and credit adjustments
What we're looking for
Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or any related field
Should have at least 5 years relevant experience in the banking, credit card companies, leasing/financing Institutions
Good verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft office for Windows is required
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to adjust and interact with all levels of personnel
Ability to multi-task, organize, set priorities and meet deadlines and take pride in one's work.
Excellent eye for details
Strong time management skills.
Must have good critical thinking skills and exercise sound judgement
Knowledgeable in various bank and government policies and regulations on consumer loans
Experience in auditing Collection Operations or with Operational risk is a plus
