Job Description:
The Design/Engineering Technician is responsible for preparing engineering and construction plan documents for a variety of projects. These include natural gas utility, transmission, and station facilities. Associated design and drafting for these projects will be performed utilizing primarily AutoCAD software products and can be in 2D or 3D depending on project requirements. This is a fast paced, dynamic position that will require working both independently and as a member of a team of professionals moving projects from concept through construction phases.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-3 years related experience in natural gas design and drafting
Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and Excel
Self-starter, highly motivated, team player with strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to interact with colleagues, senior engineers, project managers and construction personnel
AAS degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
Preferred to have an experience with
3D Modeling using Plant-3D/Inventor and Civil 3D
Natural gas, piping or similar mechanical engineering background
Must have strong English speaking / communication skills
