The role
The primary function of this role is to provide Accounting/Bookkeeping services for one of our clients within our Private Clients service line.

The job duties include:
Processing, including but not limited to:
Payroll, including award interpretation, new employee on boarding and timesheet reconciliations
Accounts payable and receivable
Bank reconciliations
Inter-entity loan reconciliations
End of month reporting
Assistance with the preparation of income tax returns and special purpose financial reports
Preparation of BAS/GST/FBT and Payroll tax returns
Account reconciliation
Assisting with support of our Finance Broking service provision as required
Liaising with the ATO including preparation of general correspondence in relation to income tax, PAYG and GST matters
Ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and effectively by meeting technical standards, deadlines and within job budgets with complete working papers
Assist clients with ad-hoc enquiries in a timely fashion, as directed
Effective communication with Partners, Managers and peers.
Qualifications and experience required:
Bookkeeping experience and qualifications
Degree qualified in commerce, accounting or equivalent and eligible for membership with the institute of Chartered Accountants or CPA.
Proven work experience in a professional services firm
Software programs experience required
Basic to intermediate skills in the Microsoft office suite, with advanced skills in excel
Accounting software including Xero, MYOB
Displays a sense of urgency to complete tasks to ensure deadlines are met
Passionate about client service
Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing to ensure the optimal flow of communication to support efficient and effective undertaking of tasks
Resource requirements:
Fulltime equivalent, working 5 days a week M-F
Software experience as outlined above
Qualification and experience as outline above
Strong written and verbal English skills
