The Role
As an Audit Manager you will assist the Department Head in ensuring that the activities of the assigned Unit are aligned with the goals and objectives to help ensure that the overall plans defined for the Internal Audit Division are properly, effectively and efficiently being carried-out.
How you will contribute
Communicates to Audit management and customers the issues noted through audit reports, memos, emails and meetings to ensure that identified risk exposures are timely prevented, manage or controlled.
Leads the effective and efficient performance of the Unit by providing guidance in the implementation of a systematic and disciplined approach of evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes to ensure that activities done are geared towards adding value, improving the Division's operations and helping in the achievement of its objectives.
Manages operating cost of the assigned Unit by ensuring that audit resources are properly, effectively and efficiently utilized to contribute in the cost saving activities of the Division.
Supervises the quality of audit activities of the Unit by closely overseeing engagement activities and guiding the engagement supervisors in performing their duties and responsibilities as defined in the Audit Manual to ensure timely completion of assigned plan including the reliability and relevance of outputs.
What we're looking for
Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Banking, Finance preferably a CPA license holder
Must have at least 3 years of experience in the related field
Banking experience is an advantage
Must posses a high level of understanding and proven knowledge of internal auditing standards, including best internal audit practices Strong bank industry knowledge
Should be skilled in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures. Skilled to view controls issues and concerns from the perspective of the Audit Committee and Senior Management. Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
