Job Summary:Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Audit Accountant to join their assurance team. This vital role involves leading complex audit engagements and ensuring the highest quality of service delivery. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in public accounting, deep knowledge of GAAP, and a keen interest in serving Not-for-Profit and Governmental entities.Responsibilities:Lead the planning, execution, and completion of audit, review, and compilation engagements.Manage client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for engagement-related matters.Perform risk assessments, detailed testing of financial statements, and evaluation of internal controls.Prepare and review financial statements, accompanying footnotes, and management letters.Identify complex accounting and auditing issues, researching applicable guidance, and developing practical recommendations for clients and management.Ensure compliance with professional standards (e.g., GAAS, Government Auditing Standards).Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.Minimum of 3 years experience of audit engagements (Not-for-Profit and Governmental entities preferred)US CPA eligible required. US CPA preferredKnowledgeable in general accounting principles.Experience with the following industries and audit types is a plus: Corporate, nonprofit, construction, single audit, government/Yellow Book, employee benefit plans.Experience with ProSystems fx Engagement, SMART E-Practice, and PPC Tools is a plus
