Job description
The applicant must have a general understanding of Australia Taxation, Super, CGT, FBT.
Responsibilities as a tax accountant will include but not be limited to the following:
Preparing financial statements for companies, partnerships, and trusts
Preparing Income Tax Returns for the above entities as well as Individuals
Creating and returning statements and documents to clients by set deadlines
Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies when required
Preparing and lodging Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements
Managing client portfolio consisting of Individuals and SME's, Corporations
Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and external third parties
Regularly reviewing systems and making updates and improvements where necessary
Possessing strong knowledge of tax law and statutory regulations
Qualification
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent. / CPA / MBA
Must have at least 5 years of Australian business services & tax experience is required for this position.
Knowledge of XERO, and other accounting applications
Strong Excel skills, including report production
Receptive to training and coaching
Strong attention to details and high analytical skills
Excellent communication and time management skills
Trustworthy in managing confidential information
