POSITION CATEGORY:
Responsible for processing payroll, remitting payroll taxes and government reporting as well as preparing monthly, quarterly and year-end payroll statements.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently
Collecting, calculating, and entering data in order to maintain and update payroll information
Compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages and reporting on this
Determining payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income, social security taxes, employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments
Resolving payroll discrepancies
Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures
· Answering general payroll enquiries, including advice on awards, policies etc.
Developing ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance or any Business-related course are most desirable
Proficient in Microsoft Office
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Preferably 1-4 years' experienced employee specializing in Payroll processing or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year experience in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) setting
Demonstrated ability to assess, recommend and approve complex self-employed applications
Knows Xero, Salesforce, Flare or any similar applications
MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED:
Knowledge of general payroll practices, procedures, operations and legislation
Fluent in both spoken and written English
Adaptability, Analysis/Problem-Solving Skills, Initiative, Integrity, Judgment, and Motivational fit.
Quality orientation / attention to detail
Ability to work successfully in a team environment.
