The Role
As the result of a recent internal restructure, we are currently seeking an Accounts & Bookkeeping Assistant to support our finance team.
Job Responsibilities:
Communicate EQL vision and culture to clients.
Post Customer Payment by Recording EFT & Credit Card Transactions
Post Supplier Payments by Recording EFT & Credit Card Transactions
Reconciling Accounts Receivable
Reconciling Accounts Payable
Data Entry of Payables
Reconciling Operations Bank Account (monthly)
Reconciling Customer Trading Accounts (monthly)
Generating & Sending Customer Statements (monthly)
Investigating & Responding to general AP & AR enquiries via email (as required)
Processing Account Applications (as required)
Chasing Debtors (as per process)
MYOB Maintenance (ongoing)
Record & File Maintenance (ongoing)
Generating reports required for management (ongoing)
Updating and modifying systems & procedures (as required)
Other Adhoc Accounts duties as required
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent
Must have at least 2+ years of relevant work experience
Administration experience
Basic accounting & bookkeeping skills
Knowledge or experience using MYOB or similar accounting software
Ability to calculate, post & manage accounting figures & financial records
An ability to prioritize and manage expectations
A keen eye for detail
Strong work ethic that aligns with your ability to work independently and unsupervised
The ability to communicate effectively via phone and email
Proficient in Microsoft Office
