What you will do
As a bookkeeper/accountant joining our team, you will be required to attend to the bookkeeping, tax compliance and reporting needs of our clients. The main responsibilities of this role will include:
Accounts receivable data entry, receipting and reconciliation;
Accounts payable data entry, reconciliation and preparation of supplier payment runs;
Bank reconciliation across multiple Australian and foreign currency accounts;
Payroll on a fortnightly and ad hoc basis;
Monthly management and financial reporting;
Preparation of business activity statements (BAS/IAS);
Preparation and lodgement of other Australian compliance matters (i.e., payroll tax, Workcover insurance, superannuation).
What we are looking for
The role will suit a Bookkeeper/Accountant who is looking for the next step in their professional career. Additionally, the successful candidate will have:
At least one year of experience as an offshore bookkeeper/accountant with an Australian company or accounting firm
Experience in Xero (preferred), MYOB, QuickBooks, or SAP
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Strong written and verbal English communication skills for communicating with our Australian staff
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective task and time management skills
High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A positive attitude, proactive and committed to the role
