As the EDI Functional Business Analyst who will be responsible for the full SDLC lifecycle of a Business-to-Business (B2B) EDI implementations of minor enhancements and projects. Responsible for gathering detailed business requirements, trading partner requirements, deeper analysis against existing capabilities and business processes, creating functional specifications, setup EDI partner profiles in SAP and other SAP related set-ups, testing, and implementation of changes to the existing B2B e-commerce (EC) and EDI tools, transactions, and interfaces associated with our global SAP platform.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with SCJ internal team and vendor to implement EDI to new or existing trading partners.
Gather and analyze SCJ and trading partner specific EDI requirements and create mapping specifications. Setup trading partner profiles in SAP and other related set-ups needed. Conduct end to end testing with SCJ business users, developers, and trading partners’ EDI team or vendors.
Plan and coordinate testing and go-live with trading partners and their vendors, SCJ vendor and SCJ internal BPT teams and a thorough understanding of the e-commerce toolset capabilities as well as competent to work at a high level of all phases of e-commerce process and transaction-level development activities, including regression testing.
Can lead e-commerce initiatives with minimal assistance and act as project manager for EC initiatives and responsible for analyzing and designing new EDI business processes as needed as well as creating and maintaining e-commerce functional documentation including detailed functional specifications. Can translate business requirements into functional specification packages.
Understands and analyzes business processes and functions to identify opportunities for continuous improvement including standardization and automation.
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Very good understanding of Order-to-Cash, Logistics, and Finance process related to the retail or CPG industry
Advanced knowledge of the EDI standards in use at SCJ (e.g. X12, UN/EDIFACT) and at least 6 years of hands-on experience in EDI
At least 3 years of SAP experience related to EDI with focus on SAP ECC R/3 and S4 Hana partner profiles, EDPAR tables, and other SAP related set-ups
At least 3 years of hands-on experience on middleware technology such as GXS AI, TIBCO, or IBM Sterling
