Bookkeeping Central is looking for an Associate Lead Accountant who will help the team reach its full potential!
If you are a young and driven accountant with a good track record of two to five years of experience in Audit, then this role might just be perfect for you. The ideal candidate will be someone who's passionate about leading, has impeccable English written and verbal communication skills, is great with people, and is excited about driving a team of accountants to attain challenging goals.
Responsibilities:
● Supervise and support junior team members on a daily basis to ensure they effectively complete their tasks.
● Assist the Manager in their role in ensuring an efficient workflow within the team.
● Achieve the billable hours budget;
● Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) using Xero working papers
● Liaise with Clients and Managers regarding queries on client work;
● Dispose all Manager and/or Director review points;
● Handle Client's accounts email and respond to suppliers and customers
● Attend the day-to-day transactions of assigned clients - Bank allocation, Payroll, Bills Payment, etc.
● Business skills to assist with cash flow planning, budgeting, analysing and management accounts.
● Exceptional time and project management skills.
● Proven problem solving and decision making to improve the quality of services provided.
● Ensure both technical skills and industry and client knowledge are maintained by attending relevant training sessions, reading, and personal research.
● Assist in the development of systems and processes that will ensure all work is performed to the highest professional standard and in accordance with the policies and procedures of the firm
● Contribute to the firm's business development by identifying additional work opportunities from existing clients, and promoting the firm and its services to clients and associates.
● Maintains set productivity and billable targets on a consistent basis;
● Provides client service delivery that meets/exceeds the Company's standards;
● Develops a level of technical competence and innovation to support the goals of the team and firm; Clear, concise and professional spoken and written communication with clients and colleagues; Displays commitment to professional development and conduct at all times;
● Actively supports the firm's strategic objectives.
● Perform such other functions as may be assigned by the direct supervisor
Job Details:
● Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6am - 3pm or 7am - 4pm

SKILLS REQUIRED
● Must have Xero/ MYOB/Reckon Accounting Software Experience
● Must have advanced EXCEL skills, proficient WORD skills
● Must have demonstrated management skills and leadership skills and experience in an operational accounting / bookkeeping environment
● Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
● Must have strong interpersonal skills. Attention to detail is a must.
● Must be able to work unsupervised and show initiative
Requirements:
● Must be a CPA
● Must have 3+ years overall experience with at least 2 years of experience in local audit
● Must have a solid understanding of Australian GST, payroll, and bookkeeping, and experience in dealing with Australian based clients
● Must have demonstrated hands-on experience in processing of year end Australian/ Philippine accounts
