Associate Lead Accountant
Bookkeeping Central is seeking an Associate Lead Accountant who will help the team reach its full potential!
If you are a young and driven accountant with a good track record of two to five years of practice in Audit, then this function might just be perfect for you. The ideal candidate will be someone who's passionate about leading, has impeccable English written and verbal communication skills, is great with people, and is excited about driving a team of accountants to attain challenging goals.
Job responsibilities:
» Supervise and support junior team members on a everyday basis to ensure they effectively complete their tasks
» Assist the Manager in their function in ensuring an efficient workflow within the team
» Achieve the billable hours budget
» Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) using Xero working papers
» contact with Clients and Managers regarding queries on client work
» Dispose all Manager and/or Director review points
» Handle Client's accounts email and respond to suppliers and customers
» Attend to the day-to-day transactions of assigned clients - Bank allocation, Payroll, Bills Payment, etc.
» Business skills to assist with cash flow planning, budgeting, analysing and management accounts
» Exceptional time and project management skills
» Proven problem solving and decision making to improve quality of services provided
» Ensure both technical skills and industry and client expertise are maintained by attending significant training sessions, reading, and personal research
» Assist in the development of systems and processes that will ensure all work is performed to the highest professional standard and in conformity with the policies and procedures of the firm
» Contribute to the firm's business development by identifying additional work opportunities from existing clients, and promoting the firm and its services to clients and associates
» Maintains set productivity and billable targets on a consistent basis
» Provides client service delivery that meets/exceeds the Company's standards
» Develops a level of technical competence and innovation to support the goals of the team and firm
» Clear, concise and professional spoken and written communication with clients and colleagues
» Displays commitment to professional development and conduct at all times
» Actively supports the firm's strategic objectives
» Perform such other functions as may be assigned by the direct manager
Job Details:
»Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6am - 3pm or 7am - 4pm

Appropriate qualifications:
» Candidate must possess Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy
» Required language(s): English - High Level
» Required skill(s): Accounting, Bookkeeping, Communications
» Required practice: 2-3 years Australian Bookkeeping/ accounting using Xero, MYOB, and Quickbooks, 1-2 years audit practice
» CPA is highly desirable
