Essential Duties and responsibilities:
· Support the Packaging Supervisor in designing packaging as per buyers’ requirements.
· Responsible in managing container loading for FCL as well as truck/van loading for LCL shipments.
· Provide correct final packing list of shipped out items to the Export Documentation Staff immediately on the next working day.
· Supervise the actual packing of samples that need to be shipped out to buyers.
· Prepare packaging instructions per buyer, per item basis for every shipments with clear packing instructions including photos.
Specific Duties:
· Review current packaging status of items and recommend improvements to reduce costs and improve products’ safety during shipment.
· Participate in the product review with DPDD and PSD for packing planning.
· Support the Packaging Supervisor in the packaging design of all newly developed items which pass buyers’ drop tests requirements (e.g. UPS standard, 14-pt drop tests for BD, 10-pt drop tests for WA, standard shipment to warehouse, etc.).
· Perform actual drop tests with DPDD, and SMD whenever necessary.
· Prepare cutting lay-out for all carton production activities as instructed by the Packaging Supervisor.
· Conduct actual packing demos before the actual packing activities whenever necessary.
· Report the actual usage of corrugated sheets and other carton making supplies indicating quantity used per PFI to warrant approval of the request for stock replenishment.
· Provide liquidation report to Accounting department 3 days after every shipment.
· Perform other tasks as may be assigned by the management.
